Just got an “inside scoop” that an ice creamery will be churning soon! Shopping centers aren’t typically graced with the presence of an artisanal ice creamery, which makes L.A. Creamery all the more special for the Westfield Topanga.

L.A. Creamery boasts a rotating menu of sixteen to eighteen flavors made in-house. Flavors will range from “redefined classics” like Cookies and Sweet Cream and Milk Chocolate Chip to more modern, quirky ones like Bourbon Pecan Pie and Concord Grape.

Opening on Black Friday, November 26th, L.A. Creamery will be throwing an ice cream party to end all ice cream parties. According to their Facebook page, they’ll also be churning Blue Cheese, Sea Salt, and Guinness. Guinness in Guinness floats anyone? Aside from scoops, expect a smorgasbord of other frozen delights: sorbets, ice cream sandwiches, sundaes, and fruit popsicles. If you fear the chill will get to you, don’t fear because L.A. Creamery will be delving out cups of Intelligentsia coffee and Art of Tea.

Armed with the motto “we treat ice cream as an art form,” it’s hard not to love the concept, right down to the organic dairy sourced from Straus Family Creamery. Who knows, maybe one ice creamery will revive the lackluster food court fare of America? Good luck to Chef and Partner Jessica Goryl on her concept! Although I won’t be able to make it to the grand opening, I hope you’ll venture over for a taste and return to 52desserts with your comments.

Scoops out!
